Last summer, Sber launched its “pay with a smile” project through SberPay and plans to reach one million by the end of the year by building about 600 thousand terminals across the country. Currently, 30 million customers use this service and 50 thousand people join every day.

Gref is confident that within a few years, biometric payments will become the standard not only in large cities but also in small towns across the country. In the new strategy it presented in December 2023, Sber focused on the people-centered model and showed in the film how its services were changing the lives of Russians.
