Vladimir Putin signed a number of new laws: “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation” in terms of creating a legal framework for the development of engineering and industrial design services and “On amendments to Article 19 of the Law “On Peasant (Agricultural) Economy” and the Federal Law “On the Development of Agriculture”. Both laws aim to stimulate their respective industries.

The new law on engineering and industrial design services defines the very concept of “engineering” and the various types of enterprises covered by the law: “an engineering organization (engineering center) in the field of creating industrial products”, “an engineering organization (engineering center) in the field of creating industrial production.”
The document also defines “engineering services (engineering activities) in the field of creation of industrial products” and “engineering services (engineering activities) in the field of creation of industrial production”, “works and (or) services in the field of industrial design (activities in the field of industrial design) “
One of the most important tasks of the new law is to “organize the industrial design sector” and create the foundations for its development in the Russian Federation in accordance with high professional standards.
This will be facilitated by a set of requirements for engineering organizations and a unified register of companies that meet these requirements. Its development and maintenance will be carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The law goes into effect on July 1, 2024.
A law designed to stimulate the “sustainable development of rural areas” also appeared on the portal. Changes in agricultural and agricultural laws will come into effect in just 10 days.
The development, according to the document, will be facilitated by allowing farmers to carry out activities unrelated to agricultural production. For example, offering rural tourism services: hosting travelers in guest houses on farmland.
