The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation fined Sberbank of Russia PJSC for violating legislation on advertising with 500 thousand rubles.

Sber, according to the antimonopoly agency, committed violations in advertising for the deposit, which was broadcast on the Petersburg television channel – Channel 5.
The credit institution reported an interest rate on the deposit of 16% per year. At the same time, “data on other important conditions affecting the interest rate were briefly placed in an explanatory footnote in a difficult-to-read font,” the FAS explained.
The department recognized that the advertising of the deposit was inappropriate and fined the bank 500 thousand rubles.
