As a result of an outbreak of botulism in Moscow and regions of Russia, more than 300 people were hospitalized. The victims ate lobio salads with beans ordered at home.

The authorities of the Kostroma region reported on June 24 that one of those infected with botulism, who ate lobio salad, died in the hospital.

Rospotrebnadzor previously revealed that food manufacturers and suppliers worked in violation of many sanitary standards. Specifically, the place where the salads were made is located next to a landfill.

Criminal cases were opened against the general director of “District Kitchen” Anton Lozin, the head of the company’s quality department Elena Mashkova, the general director of “Savok-K” and the latter’s cook Vladimir Shin .
