Scrolling search results on desktop have already been removed as of June 25 and will be removed on mobile devices in the coming months.

Instead, Google’s classic pagination bar will appear on the desktop, allowing users to jump to a specific search results page or simply click Next.

Removing this feature will allow pages with relevant information to load faster “rather than automatically loading results that users have not explicitly requested.”
