Gamers ranked among the best smartphone slot machines in mid-2024. His status is confirmed not only by me, but also by the community.
The latest Infinix GT 20 Pro has become available for the PUBG MOBILE Super League smartphone in the EMEA and CSA regions. He was even among the first to receive 120 FPS support in PUBG.
Tempting? Now let’s talk about what kind of device this is. Why is it so special and what advantages does it have?

The first unusual impression on me was made by the packaging of the smartphone. All we need is a rectangular box that opens by simply removing the bottom.
This box with a smartphone opens in two stages: first, the outer lid is opened, and inside the packaging with different sides, made of very thick cardboard, is pulled apart.
Inside you will find:
▪ the smartphone itself
▪ documentation
▪ 45W charger
▪ charging cable
▪ high quality plastic case
▪ protective glass
The latter makes me especially happy about Infinix. The company has become one of those around that includes not a film in the phone package, but glass for the screen. There is real protection for the display not only from scratches, but also from damage. Respect.

Design and ergonomics. He just screams that he’s a gamer
External gadgets are nothing like smartphones. It also has a transparent back panel with lithography. It is located above the metal coating and has a proprietary RGB LED backlight. Mecha-loop lighting.
And what’s notable here is the backlight, which can be customized. It reacts to notifications, calls, events in PUBG, and so on – different colors glow under the article happening on the screen.
There is also a special Party Mode, which activates the backlight on a permanent basis. That is, it will always be on, regardless of what is happening on the device. It uses up a little more battery, but it’s not critical.
The side frames are made of plastic. They hold the device body securely and do not slip in your hands.
The power button and volume rocker are on the right, while the SIM tray and USB-C port are on the bottom. The stereo speaker grille is also located there. On top there is an IR blaster for controlling household appliances and a second speaker grille. And you know, the sound is really high quality for such a compact device. Even at high volume (and the smart one plays far from quietly).
Grip comfortablethe smartphone fits perfectly in the hand, despite the large screen. It weighs 194 grams and has dimensions of 164.26 x 75.43 x 8.15 mm. So you don’t have to worry about its dimensions.

Display. True 144Hz for esports athletes
The Infinix GT 20 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (1080×2436 pixels) resolution. The maximum refresh rate is achieved here 144 Hzwhich is higher than most smartphones in this class.
Not everyone can immediately see the difference between 120 and 144 Hz. However, it becomes more noticeable over time, and it definitely depends on the gameplay.
Peak screen brightness reaches 1300 nits. This is a very high figure, due to the fact that the sun outside is not a problem for a smartphone at all. There is no glare, everything is visible perfectly.
The PWM indicator is also excellent: 2304 Hz. This display does not tire your eyes, nothing dazzles.
In general, the screen in the GT 20 Pro is different. Ideal for gamers.

Height performance for its segment
What the Infinix GT 20 Pro really boasts is its powerful processor. MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G. This is an overclocked version of the regular 8200, released in 2022.
And it was thanks to the overclocking device that it was possible to outperform most of its analogues in its price segment, despite the modified, not the newest chip. Results:
• single-core mode (Geekbench): 1020 points
• multi-core mode (Geekbench): 3384 points
• GPU: 236,622 points
• AnTuTu: 936,985 points
As for the games themselves, everything is pretty good. For example, PUBG Mobile runs on high settings and supports 120 FPS. Genshin Impact produces about 60 frames with a medium-high preset, Call of Duty Warzone shows smoothness in the HDR-HD preset. Finally, in Honkai Star Rail, the smartphone copes with medium settings and high frame rates.
All this could not have been achieved without the fast LPPDR5X RAM. The delivery version has 8/256 GB, and the top version (like mine) has 12/256 GB. You can expand up to 16/24 GB of RAM to account for virtual memory.
At the same time, the smartphone does not heat up so much under a high table thanks to Cooling fluid VC Liquid. For the most hardcore gamers, the company has also introduced an external GT Cooling fan.
I didn’t notice any TNT in the “heavy” watch rollers, which is also good.

The camera is normal, but that’s not the main thing here.
You shouldn’t expect innovation to deliver superior quality on all fronts. There is a 108 MP main module installed here, which can crop the image for 3x zoom without loss of quality. There is optical image stabilization (OIS).
The main camera has two sensors: power and macro.
What can I say about the photo quality? It’s good during the day and acceptable in low light. The device can stabilize white balance and not lose blue or yellow in its wide range. I do not recommend using built-in II algorithms, as they often increase the brightness of the final image.

Portrait photos turn out quite the same, but Smart really likes to improve the casing, which is why some photos may turn out unnatural. This doesn’t happen often, but it’s a fact.
The Infinix GT 20 Pro supports 4K shooting at 60fps. Thanks to optical stabilization, the picture turns out smooth and not jerky.
Finally, a 32 MP front camera with 2K photo support.

Optimized for long “skating rink”
Infinix GT 20 Pro received a high-quality battery 5000 mAhIn addition, it comes with a 45W charging unit.
In 20-30 minutes you can achieve 50%. A full charge will take a little over an hour. Overall standard for 2024.
There are two charging modes here: bypass for directly powering the board, bypassing the battery, and hypercharging at high speed. Standard – PD 3.0.
As for autonomy, the gadget shows good results. With active screen refresh at 144 Hz, the smartphone lasts all day with moderate (normal) use.
At higher loads, say, in games, when watching videos for a long time and simultaneously communicating in instant messengers or surfing the Internet – 5-6 hours. Also cool considering the device config.

One of the best among inexpensive ones
The Infinix GT 20 Pro turned out just great. For its price of 40 thousand rubles, the device offers an excellent 144 Hz screen, a good camera, a powerful gaming chip and an excellent cooling system.
Yes, it has its drawbacks. However, they are easily covered by bold advantages for their price category. Plus it has real gaming lighting!
Overall, a great budget option for mobile gamers. We approve.
