Apparently, the problem is caused by technical problems on Apple’s side, which is also confirmed by statements from Hungarian banks, including Raiffeisen and MBH Bank. Raiffeisen acknowledged the situation and explained that the erroneous cancellations were an external technical problem in Apple systems. They assured customers that “efforts are being made to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
Similarly, MBH Bank said that erroneous payments to its customers were caused by a technical glitch in Apple’s app store.
Both banks are working with Apple to resolve the issue and plan to compensate affected users for erroneous transactions.
Details on the exact cause and extent of the problem are not yet clear.
