The new standard also supports charging up to 240W and is compatible with previous formats: Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 Type-C.
Thunderbolt 5 lets you connect up to two 6K monitors, three 4K monitors, or two 8K monitors.
One of the key features of the new product is the Bandwidth Boost option, which increases throughput to 120 Gbps, but the basic data transfer rate reaches 80 Gbps in both directions.
