Google Photos surpasses 10 billion downloads on Android

Google Photos app has reached an impressive milestone on Android mobile operating system. Gadgets recently crossed the 10 billion download mark On Google Play Store.

Most of these downloads are automatic because Google Photos is usually one of the pre-installed apps Android tablets and smartphones. Despite this, some manufacturers still limit the service’s presence and prefer their own image managers, which makes the company’s success all the more remarkable.

According to a website survey 9to5GoogleFotos is the tenth app developed by Google to reach 10 billion downloads. Popular tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, the search engine and the Chrome browser have already surpassed this mark.

Google Photos has changed over time

The Google Photos service was officially launched in 2015 for both browsers and Android. Initially, it was a feature inherited from the Google+ function, a company social network that was discontinued years later.
