An offer to conduct salary survey work came from B1-Consult LLC (formerly EY), the cost of the service was 192 thousand rubles.

As part of the study, which is expected to last until November 2024, Pochtatech is ordering the collection of information on salaries, bonuses, additional payments and allowances for IT specialists at different levels, in order to then compare this data with the income of its employees.

“The goal is to obtain statistical reports to analyze the current level and structure of total monetary remuneration of managers and specialists in the field of information technologies in the organizations of Pochtatech LLC in comparison with the labor market of the largest technology and IT companies,” the acquisition documentation says.

The Contractor shall ensure the participation of managers and specialists in the field of information technology in the remuneration study. The result should be summary tables of the compensation package, including additional policies and benefits. The company is interested in the salaries of employees involved in architectural and engineering design, consulting, risk management, development, support, implementation of business technologies and many others.

Pochtatech is actively recruiting. At the end of 2022, the company employed 1,145 people, and by 2023, 1,500.

In its job advertisements on hh.ru, the company does not indicate the salary amount, and on the Rostrud website it has set a limit for all specialists of “100 thousand rubles” for the search for personnel in 2023. Currently, the company has 62 open vacancies and there are 2,272 in the archive.

The leading developer at a manufacturer of mail services receives 177.5 thousand rubles, and, for example, at Cloud Solutions – 300 thousand rubles, at Kaspersky Lab – 292.5 thousand rubles.

RB.RU sent a request to Pochtatech.

According Tatyana Grigorenko, General Director of Human Resources at ETP GPB GroupInformation on company salary levels is confidential and seeking it by directly requesting its disclosure is a bit optimistic.

“If such information is lost, we will probably have to think about security and risks associated with leakage,” says Grigorenko. The HR director considers it correct not to use guerrilla raids on competitive territories, but time-tested salary reviews by companies specializing in this topic. For example, AMT Consult, Trust Technologies (formerly PWC). Reviews of these companies can be industry-specific; in addition, you can select a group of reference companies with which the participant compares himself and get data based on the request.

The expert adds that there are also open reviews that process data from job search sites. Unfortunately, this data cannot be used as a guide during reviews, as companies looking for staff focus on the candidate, and the candidate indicates the desired pay level, and this pay level is usually higher than the current one, Grigorenko added.

Oksana Pleshanova, CFO of IT integrator AWG and B2B marketplace SkillStaff He says that in the IT market, studies are often conducted on staff income, both in terms of general industry indicators and in terms of specific specialist roles.

IT companies may share payment data if the research results are anonymous, as the market is highly competitive.

“In the event of a staff shortage, the level of salaries and additional payments is not determined by the industry, but by demand. If a company, especially a large one, understands that the attracted resource will bring it higher profits or faster product launches in the future, then it can make an offer above the market,” says the expert.

The IT specialist sharing model helps reduce wage inflation as it allows industry resources to be pooled, rather than recruited from within the company, the expert says. The required level of income is assessed based on the demand for a scarce resource on the market and is dictated by the potential benefits the employer will gain from hiring, the expert added.
