On July 6, American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk published information about the dangers of using WhatsApp* messenger from Meta Platforms*. He claimed that the application is imperfect in terms of protecting user data.

This is how the businessman responded to a post by users of the social network X, where they commented on the claim that end-to-end encryption in WhatsApp* supposedly allows correspondence in the service’s chats to be completely protected.
“WhatsApp* is not secure at all,” Musk wrote.
This was his response to the comment that, contrary to WhatsApp’s* statement on the privacy of conversations, users receive personalized advertising related to the topics of discussion in correspondence on this site.
Note that in 2023, Musk already said that this messenger “cannot be trusted.” He responded to a user who said that the app was using their device’s microphone while they were sleeping.
In addition, the creator of the Telegram messenger, Pavel Durov, said that this application “has been a surveillance tool for 13 years.”
