This currency is intended to pay for purchases in bots and applications within Telegram. Scammers offer to buy “stars” bypassing the official App Store and Google Play platforms, promising more favorable conditions.

The main goal of the scammers is to gain access to Telegram Wallet crypto wallets and other personal data.

They create fake websites and chatbots that offer favorable conditions for purchasing coins. Since May 2024, many domains associated with Telegram Stars have been registered.

Experts warn that purchasing “stars” from dubious sellers can lead to the loss of data and funds.

They recommend using only official sources and avoiding offers from unknown sources. It is also recommended to install reliable anti-virus programs and not disclose access codes to third parties.
