The flow of domestic tourists to Russia in the first half of 2024 increased by 21% compared to the same period in 2023, according to the results of a study by SberAnalytics.
In six months, Russians made 56.2 million trips. Moscow (15.4%) and the Moscow region (16.5%) received the most tourists. Muscovites themselves preferred to travel to St. Petersburg, the Vladimir region and the Krasnodar region.
About 50% of tourist spending was in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar Territory. In six months, tourists spent 660 billion rubles on vacation, and the number of purchases increased year-on-year by 13%. At the same time, the average bill for travel agency services increased by 22% to 63 thousand rubles.
The study is based on anonymised data on the needs and preferences of 109 million buyers and 6 million legal entities, as well as information from more than 70 data sources.
