The copyright holder of the trademark complained that its competitor had put Umka biscuits into circulation.

The packaging design reportedly used elements that mimic Oreo cookie trademarks:

  • Color design of the product name and packaging as a whole;
  • Relative arrangement of elements;
  • Imitation of a slogan.

The FAS Commission will inspect the organization’s work for violations of the competition protection law.

The FAS does not name the manufacturer of Umka in its report, while the editor of RB.RU managed to find similar biscuits on sale from the confectionery company Slavia.

Since 2015, Oreo has been produced at the Russian Bolshevik factory in the Vladimir region.
