One of Kazakhstan’s richest female rentiers, Aidan Suleimenova, has refused a Russian passport. Suleymanova’s estimated income is estimated at 4.3 billion tenge (about 790.7 million rubles at the Central Bank’s exchange rate).

The day before, on June 11, Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On admission to Russian citizenship and renunciation of Russian citizenship.” The document states that 22 people will receive Russian passports and four, including Suleymanova, will renounce their citizenship.

Aidan Suleymanova is the daughter of Kazakhstan’s first Foreign Minister Tuleutai Suleymenov (1991-1994). She is married to Kazakh businessman Daniyar Abulgazin.

According to Forbes Kazakhstan data, Suleymanova is ranked eighth in the ranking of the country’s richest people. Her estimated income is 4.3 billion tenge.

Suleymanova also owns ADD Invest Properties, through which she manages shopping centres in major cities of the country: Talan Gallery and Keruen shopping centres in Astana, Baizaar shopping centre in Atyrau and Keruen City shopping centre in Aktobe.

Aidan Suleymanova’s husband, Daniyar Abulgazin, is ranked 21st in the ranking of the country’s richest businessmen according to Forbes Kazakhstan. His net worth is $380 million.

Abulgazin owns shares in Qazaq Oil, SinoOil and Gas Energy gas station chains. He also owns assets in PTC Operador, Petroleum, RTI-ANPZ, SilkwayTransit and others.
