Xiaomi Corporation continues to focus not only on cars, as RB.RU previously reported, but also on the production of health devices. At the same time, there has not yet been any official news about the new successor to the Smart Band 8 and Smart Band 8 Pro fitness trackers.

However, recent leaks suggest that the Smart Band 9 is in active development. gizmochina.com writes about this.

The appearance of the watch will not differ much from the design of the Smart Band 8, which was clearly a copy of the Smart Band 7. Most likely, the beloved oval form factor and 1.62-inch display will be retained.

But speaking of the display brightness, the device will undergo changes here. Even though the refresh rate will most likely remain at 60 Hz, the maximum brightness could reach 1200 nits, which is twice the performance of the Smart Band 8.

A 233 mAh battery can provide up to 9 days of operation in constant time display mode or allow it to run for three weeks when the screen is off. We also pay attention to the accuracy of the heart rate sensors, as well as SpO2: at 10%, the device is expected to switch to Bluetooth 5.4.

Note that the leak does not specify the likely release date or cost of the Smart Band 9, so for now we have to wait for official information from the manufacturer.

We also reported that in March Xiaomi introduced Mijia glasses with ultrasonic speakers.
