Despite Valve’s massive influence in the gaming industry and its famous Steam store, the company remains relatively small. In 2021, it had just 336 employees, including 41 people working on Steam Deck development.
The leak also revealed that Valve spends a significant amount of money on its projects. For example, more than $17 million was spent on salaries for employees in the Hardware division in 2021. This shows the company’s serious commitment to improving its hardware solutions.
