Apple has patented a new system for ranking Wi-Fi networks.
According to the document, Apple’s hardware will collect data about Wi-Fi networks without identifying the user or their exact location. This data system will provide information about networks and their characteristics in order to “improve the efficiency of interactions between user devices and discovered access points.”
In particular, the OS will show the rating of “Wi-Fi” among users: “high quality”, “popularity”.
