According to analysts, only 37% of Russians are aware of the possibility of tax deductions and use this tool. 62% of those who use this measure mentioned tax deductions associated with the purchase and sale, construction of housing and acquisition of land.
Moscow residents and residents of larger cities were able to return an above-average amount compared to other cities: about 118.8 thousand rubles and 113.2 thousand rubles, respectively.
According to the study, only 25% of those who are aware of tax deductions are aware of the changes in the procedure for granting social tax deductions from 2024.
From January 1, 2024, the total amount of social security deductions has been increased to 150 thousand rubles, and the deduction for the upbringing of children and wards – to 110 thousand rubles. That is, now you can return 19.5 thousand rubles and 14.3 thousand rubles per year, respectively.
For the study, Avito Rabota analysts surveyed 2,000 Russians.
