The press service noted that the pre-assembled structures will be additionally protected with lead plates to ensure the safety of scientists during the experiments.
The cages not only provide radiation protection, but also form the basis for all service networks of the station, including water cooling systems, gas supply systems, cable networks, etc. In total, TPU engineers developed 12 covers and 6 control cabins for the 5 experimental stations of the first phase of SKIF.
