The State Duma proposed creating a fund to compensate taxi drivers and couriers for damages

As Vedomosti writes in reference to the draft law on platform employment, the fund should be supported by contributions from the platforms themselves.

The minimum contribution is expected to be 3 million rubles. As follows from the document, the fund “will be a separate property owned by the Council of Digital Platforms and will initially be formed exclusively in monetary form through mandatory contributions from its members.”

According to the plan, the funds will be received by the fund through a management company, with which a trust management agreement will be concluded. The requirements for its structure have not yet been determined.

The bill can be submitted to the State Duma before the end of the spring session (until August 4), said Andrei Isaev, head of the State Duma working group. He added that although the general concept was approved at the government meeting, changes to the document can still be made.

The bill itself is being prepared with the participation of the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Economic Development and representatives of the business community.
