According to data from the Klntur.Focus service, Dunaevsky took over as CEO of Yandex-owned Kinopoisk on July 11.

Dunaevsky previously worked at Kinopoisk for several years. In particular, he acted as a product manager, overseeing the development of streaming, ticketing services and editorial media. In addition, Dunaevsky worked at Yandex Direct, Afisha and Gazprom-Media.

As the Kinopoisk press service clarified to TASS, the appointment has nothing to do with corporate restructuring. They added that the strategic management of the group, which includes the company’s entertainment services, will remain in the hands of Savinsky.

The deal to sell the assets of Russian company Yandex was closed on July 15. According to its results, Nebius Group (the new name of Yandex NV) received $2.8 billion and 162.5 million class A shares.

The Nebius Group, which united former Yandex NV startups, was led by the company’s co-founder Arkady Volozh.
