“Many people think that the main causes of dementia are traumatic brain injuries, strokes, brain tumors and other diseases. But everyone forgets about addictions – alcoholism and drug addiction. Both alcohol and drugs affect the brain, causing a feeling of happiness. And the brain is the main target of the poison that kills it,” Holdin said.
