From January to June 2023, 4,455 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia, according to a study by Autostat Inf. This is 244% more than in the same period last year.
Volkswagen ID.4 became the best-selling electric car. In the first half of the year, it was sold in the amount of 598 pieces.
In second place is the Evolute I-Pro (528 units), in third place is the Tesla Model Y (398 units).
Electric vehicles accounted for only 1% of total car sales in Russia. Most of all (94%) were sold cars with gasoline engines, in second place in popularity – diesel with a profit of 3%. [Автостат Инфо]
