Russia has already tried to ban the game: the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of Tatarstan, Irina Volynets, and the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, have made corresponding calls.
“Such things need to be stopped. In my opinion, this is clearly a scam. Manipulation and use of the psychology of citizens. Especially those who do not really want to work, but dream of being able to play with a minimum of effort and get rich,” Aksakov said.
Hamster Kombat is a Telegram mini-application. Users must click on the image of the hamster as quickly as possible, as for each click they receive in-game currency. In the application, players are informed that after Hamster Kombat is launched on the cryptocurrency exchange, the coins earned in the game will be converted into cryptocurrency.
Following the popularity of the game, scammers began stealing Telegram accounts of Russian Hamster Kombat users under the guise of a withdrawal service.
