IKEA has postponed its online sale to July 5. Stores and service centers will remain open until August 31.
The goods will be sold last, until the warehouses are empty. It is not clear what the field of this will be, writes Izvestia with reference to sellers.
An IKEA employee in Yekaterinburg told IA URA.RU that prices will not go down, but, on the contrary, will even go up for some items. According to him, there are a lot of products in the warehouse, moreover, they will additionally be delivered from an external warehouse.
The company's website says that now the opportunity to make a purchase directly in the store is provided exclusively to IKEA employees. The products will be available for everyone to purchase on the site in a few days. There will be no sales in stores.
The IKEA RB press service reported that all information about the sale is presented on the website and there is no additional data from the company.
At the end of June, the employees denied the information that the online sale for ordinary customers was postponed to July 5. According to the employees, “a lot of goods” remain.
After leaving the Russian market, IKEA decided to hold a surplus sale. It started on June 27, but only IKEA employees were able to attend. The retailer sells them leftovers at a 15% discount.
The start of the sale for ordinary buyers was planned for July 1, but then information appeared in the media that the date was postponed to July 5.
About the impossibility of resuming sales in Russia, IKEA announced on June 15.
