The India Friendly standard will be developed in Russia. The standard will be created by Roskachestvo and the Center for Strategic Research. The Muslim Friendly and China Friendly standards are already in force in the country.

Roskachestvo and the Strategic Research Center will create the India Friendly standard in Russia. The aim of the project will be to improve the quality of service to foreign tourists and increase the tourist flow, the press service of Roskachestvo reported.
The importance of introducing the India Friendly standard in Russia arose against the background of the active development of tourist exchanges between Russia and India. In the first quarter of 2024, Indian tourists made 7.1 thousand trips to Russia.
As part of the development of the standard, it is necessary to provide linguistic support to tourists, organize the supply of national cuisine in catering establishments, and also train hotel staff in the cultural and national peculiarities of India.
Tourist sites can undergo voluntary certification to obtain India Friendly status. This will make it easier for Indian tourists to find their way around when choosing accommodation in Russia, Roskachestvo said.
Several national standards are already being implemented in Russia. For example, the first Muslim standard hotels appeared in the country in early July 2024.
