According to The Verge, the launch of laptops with a Strix Point processor should take place before the end of 2024.
AMD rarely directly compares its solutions to competing products, but during a keynote in Los Angeles, the company said the new Ryzen chip is superior to the Apple M3 Pro processor used in the MacBook Air “in multitasking, imaging, 3D rendering and gaming.”
AMD says the Strix Point is “15% faster than the M3 Pro” in the Cinebench benchmark and can also power up to four displays, while the MacBook Air only supports two.
What’s more, the developer told reporters that the Ryzen AI 300 integrated graphics are superior to both Qualcomm’s current generation and Intel’s latest generation, and can also run “AAA games in Full HD,” including titles that simply “don’t work on some competitors.”
