The Telegram Info channel noticed a problem with mass spam posts. Similar messages beginning with the words “We will have to delete this message, and some of us will even be fired or imprisoned…” were posted on several Telegram channels, including “Overheard Bryansk”, “Kharkov LIVE”, “Typical Voronezh”, “Kuzbass Incident” and others.

The messages on behalf of the channel administration were posted using the popular posting bot: FleepBot. The chatbot team confirmed the hack and said they were working on fixing the issue.

The bot’s developers also said they were suspending posting on all channels and planned to contact “the authorities so that the perpetrators are punished.”

In 2022, another popular service, Crosser Bot, was hacked. The message sent then began with identical words, but had the opposite political message.
