Solar Group, one of the largest cybersecurity providers in Europe, has launched a new service called “Maturity Assessment, Security Operations Center (SOC)”. This service is aimed at large companies and government agencies that already have their own monitoring centers and want to improve their performance. As part of a pilot project, it has been implemented in the service, retail and finance sectors.

Many large companies and government agencies already have their own SOCs, but they are often unable to objectively assess their work and plan for improvement due to overload. This is where an independent review comes in to help assess the center’s current performance, identify weaknesses, and identify ways to improve.

The assessment is carried out using a proprietary methodology developed taking into account Solar’s global best practices and experience. The experts working on the analysis have extensive experience in operating and modernizing SOCs for large organizations. The analysis covers three key areas: SOC functions, technology, and people. The results of the study will be two reports: a short report for management and a detailed report for experts, with recommendations for improving the functioning of the SOC.

Yaroslav Napalkov from the Solar JSOC stressed that their tools will help to identify weaknesses in the operation of the SOC and control its development. This is important for maintaining the high quality of the center’s work and ensuring effective information protection.
