Analysts predict that by the end of 2024, the figure will reach 25 billion rubles, an increase of 92% year-on-year. The dynamics is due to both the increase in the number of discoveries and the increase in costs.

In January-June, 50 full-size gyms were opened in Russia, compared to 45 a year earlier; costs with comparable materials increased by 30-40% over the year.

Experts warn that in conditions where the growth of corporate profitability is limited by a constant increase in costs, not all new projects can be successful. An additional risk factor is the growing competition in the largest markets.

In Russia, the number of sports franchise offers has also increased since March 2024 – by 37% over the year, and partnership agreements have been signed by 14%. The segment is primarily interested in regional investors who are betting on opening small studios. At the same time, the margins of this business in the country remain low.

FitnessData analyst Svetlana Kalina noted that the average investment in opening a gym franchise is 25 million rubles, and a studio – 4.3 million rubles.
