Deputies Anton Gorelkin and Vasily Piskarev proposed amendments to the laws “On Communications” and “On Biometrics”, they have already passed the first reading. VimpelCom believes that the use of Gosuslug for verification would be optimal. MegaFon adds that there are no reasons yet to refuse to sell large quantities of SIM cards to individuals. MTS emphasizes the importance of flexible mechanisms for additional processing of SIM cards due to the development of the Internet of Things. Analyst Alexey Boyko notes that the restriction may cause inconvenience for some citizens, as the number of devices requiring SIM cards increases.
