Businessman Timur Yunusov (Timati) posted a statement on social media in support of Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk’s husband Vladislav. In the video, Timati calls for stopping the “robbery takeover” of Wildberries before the situation “is too late to correct.”
In the published video, Timati sits next to Vladislav Bakalchuk and claims an attempt by third parties to “squeeze the business and transfer assets to a controlled company.” Timati does not name the “third parties.”
Earlier, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov spoke about the “open and shameless takeover” of Wildberries. Kadyrov published a blog post about this after a conversation with Vladislav Bakalchuk.
DNS head Dmitry Alekseev also made a statement on the current situation. Tatyana Bakalchuk, after completing the merger of companies, can either “give away” a part of a ten-billion-dollar business for 7 million rubles or lose the business altogether, she believes.
The scandal affecting Russia’s largest market is taking place against the backdrop of its merger with the Russ Group. The company has created a joint venture to which many of Wildberries’ assets have already been transferred.
