Apple has started blocking the accounts of developers from Russia and Belarus on the Apple Search Ads platform. This was reported by the author of the iOS Dev Telegram channel, Viktor Grushevsky, his account was also blocked.
As a reason, the company cites 13 points in the Apple Search Ads terms of service, which state that “either party, at its sole discretion, may terminate these Terms of Service at any time upon notice without cause.”
Grushevsky filed an appeal and only then learned the real reason for the blocking. Apple announced that from August 15, 2024, the Apple Search Ads service in Russia and Belarus will stop working, so all accounts in these countries will be blocked.
