According to Interfax’s source, the new platform will work in a similar way to Miro. He clarified that the product will most likely become part of the Yandex 360 environment. The company confirmed information about the development of the platform to the publication, but declined to provide any other details.

Earlier, on August 14, the Miro platform for remote collaborative work, founded by Perm residents Andrey Khusid and Oleg Shardin, announced the deactivation of Russian and Belarusian accounts starting from September 12.

The company stopped operating in the Russian Federation and Belarus in 2022, denouncing hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. In the same year, the service initiated the liquidation of a Russian legal entity, Multivitamin LLC.

Miro was founded in 2011 by Perm residents Andrey Khusid and Oleg Shardin. The startup is a “unicorn” with a company valuation of over $1 billion. As of June 2022, Miro’s valuation was $17.5 billion.

The company’s headquarters are now located in the United States and Europe, so Miro is obliged to comply with sanctions against Russia. Since the US Treasury extended the restrictions on June 12, banning the provision of a number of IT services to Russians and Belarusians, Miro has warned about deactivating accounts.
