Remote collaboration platform Miro announced that it will continue working with clients from Russia and Belarus. The decision applies only to those clients who use the service’s free services, Miro reported.
On August 14, Miro announced that it would soon stop providing services to customers in Russia and Belarus. On September 12, US sanctions against these countries will come into effect, which will mean a ban on providing certain types of services to customers in Russia and Belarus.
“As a US corporation with a significant presence in the EU, Miro is subject to both US and European laws,” Miro said.
Miró explained that the decision to comply with sanctions is a corporate requirement.
In 2022, Miro began to wind down its Russian division. Previously, the company stopped selling to the Russian and Belarusian markets.
