Apple Releases New Beta Firmware for AirPods Pro 2 with Build Number 7A5290a.
This firmware includes new features that Apple announced in iOS 18.
These include controlling Siri and calls with a nod or shake of the head. For example, if you receive a phone call, you can shake your head, and if you don’t want to be there, you can nod to accept the call.
There’s also a Voice Isolation feature that reduces the volume of background sounds during a call. The Personalized Spatial Audio feature lets you play games with spatial audio.
The firmware is currently only available to developers. The official release will take place after the release of iOS 18 in September 2024.
