Denis Logunov, deputy director of the center, said that this antibody covers different parts of the S protein of the virus and can recognize both the original strains from Wuhan and the variants that mutated later. He noted that clinical trials of this antibody will begin in the near future, paving the way for hopes of creating effective tools in the fight against coronavirus.

In addition, the center’s scientists are actively developing new vaccine platforms as well as technologies using adenoviral and adeno-associated vectors.
