Billionaire Neuralink founder Elon Musk has said he plans to start implanting brain chips in millions of people over the next 10 years. A post about it appeared on social network X.

“If all goes well, within a few years there will be hundreds of people using Neuralink, perhaps tens of thousands within five years, millions within 10 years,” says the entrepreneur.
Two weeks ago, information emerged that Neuralink had implanted a brain chip in its second patient. This is a person with a spinal cord injury. Musk later said that “everything is working very well.” And already in the spring, The Wall Street Journal reported that the company had received the corresponding permission from the US authorities.
Neuralink is expected to implant eight more patients by 2024. The first Telepathy chip was implanted in January in patient Noland Arbo, who suffers from paraplegia and has been unable to move his arms below the shoulders for eight years. He can now control digital devices with his thoughts.
