This was stated by Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov after the first joint meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese working group on tourism.

The Russian side discussed at the meeting best practices for supporting the tourism industry and plans to promote a unique Russian tourism brand in Vietnam by 2025. The Vietnamese side found it interesting to participate in major Russian tourism exhibitions and forums, including “MITT”, “Travel!” and Ocio Ocio.

“It is necessary to develop dialogue and business contacts between our countries in order to fully unleash the tourism potential of Russia and Vietnam. The development of new Russian-Vietnamese tourism products will contribute to the growth of mutual tourist flow,” said Dmitry Vakhrukov.

The parties also agreed to hold regular discussions on the bilateral tourism agenda. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Air Transport Agency, Russian and Vietnamese travel agencies and airlines.

Not only will an expanded air travel network connect citizens of Russia and Vietnam, but in mid-July it became known that one of Russia’s oldest dating services, Mamba, will enter the Vietnamese market, RB.RU reported. The company sees growth potential due to low competition in the country among dating services.
