A spokesperson for the Meta*-owned social network confirmed to TechCrunch that the company is testing the feature with a limited number of users.

The source said that this is a new, informal way of sharing information, for example with time-limited relevance. At the same time, the company representative did not specify who exactly could use such posts and whether the experiment was regional.

By clicking on the reply button, the user will see the time after which the post will be deleted. Along with the post, all replies will also disappear.

In November 2020, Twitter (now X) launched Fleets, full-screen posts that disappear after 24 hours. However, in July 2021, the social network abandoned this format due to its low use by users.
