The Paris prosecutor’s office has announced when it will give an official comment on the arrest of Pavel Durov in France. The department will make an official statement on Monday, August 26.

“A full press statement will be published tomorrow,” the press service of the Paris prosecutor’s office told TASS.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov was arrested at Le Bourget airport on the evening of August 24. According to the TF1 television channel, the billionaire could be charged with drug trafficking, fraud and other crimes due to Telegram’s insufficient moderation and its refusal to cooperate with authorities.
The Russian Embassy in France said it had requested clarification from the French authorities, but the French side “has so far avoided interaction on this issue.”
