Designed by Norwegian company Snøhetta, the cultural and educational center Čoarvemátta gets 90% of its energy from heating through a range of energy-saving technologies. The center is divided into polar groups. The temperature of these plates is set at -45 degrees, but at least simulate heating costs. The building is almost entirely made of wood, and its beauty is complemented by Samoan motifs.
