The failure caused a series of problems that spread the fire to nearby engines and caused the explosion. According to RFA, the engine’s fuel manifold system was so badly damaged that kerosene continued to fuel the fire. No one was injured.

RFA released raw footage of the incident and assured that the launch pad remained intact and safe. RFA aims to “resume normal operations as quickly as possible.”
