The operation of the Kazan Tukai International Airport is temporarily restricted. Starting from 7:00 Moscow time on August 28, the airport will not accept or dispatch flights, according to a statement from the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Artyom Korenyako, on the Telegram channel.

Kazan Airport has suspended operations.

The reason for the restrictions was not given. According to Korenyako, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of flights.

The airport’s Telegram channel added that flights from Moscow (Sheremetyevo) and Sochi were redirected to alternate airfields in Samara.

In Tatarstan, after Kazan, Nizhnekamsk airport has temporarily ceased operations. It is no longer accepting or dispatching flights as of 9:00 Moscow time.
