According to the publication, the judge, as a result of the interrogation, will decide whether to press charges against Durov or recognize him as a witness and release him.

If you decide to press charges, another judge will decide on the preventive measure: this could be various types of restrictions on freedom or bail.

As AFP reports, Durov has been brought before the court.

Pavel Durov was arrested on August 24 at the Paris airport. French authorities have issued arrest warrants for the businessman and his brother Nikolai in March 2024, Politico previously wrote on August 28.

According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, there are 12 charges against the founder of Telegram. These include refusal to cooperate with the authorities and complicity in the possession and distribution of pornographic images of minors.
