“Sliders” have appeared in the settings, allowing you to show the algorithms which topics are the lowest priority, which are more interesting, and which are the most interesting. Customizable topics include art, dance, fashion and beauty, food and drink, health and fitness, current events, and humor. Each topic is briefly described.
It is not reported whether similar settings will appear in applications in other regions where TikTok is represented. Presumably, such “sliders” appeared against the background of TikTok’s problems in the United States, in order to clarify the recommendation algorithms.
