The wealth of Russia’s richest businessmen has increased by another $28.431 billion since the beginning of 2024, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).

Severstal Chairman Alexey Mordashov earned $5.73 billion during this time, and his capital now stands at $26.6 billion. Eurochem co-founder Andrei Melnichenko added $5.26 billion to the treasury and has $24.1 billion in total. Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov earned $3.59 billion, and his fortune is $28.2 billion.
However, the founder of the USM holding company, Alisher Usmanov, lost $5.51 billion by 2024, and his savings now amount to $15.6 billion.
According to Forbes magazine, the list of the richest women in Russia has grown to eight. Traditionally, the list was headed by the founder of Wildberries, Tatyana Bakalchuk; the second was occupied by the wife of the rector of the St. Petersburg Mining University, Vladimir Litvinenko. The third place was occupied by the daughter of Usmanov’s business partner, Andrey Skoch, Varvara.
Inteco Management CEO Elena Baturina ($1.3 billion) came in fourth place, while the top five richest women in Russia are completed by Natalya Lutsenko ($1.25 billion), who controls 50% of the shares of the Sodruzhestvo Group, one of the largest oilseed processors.
