Internally, the manufacturer has equipped the SoC with four 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The silicon is compatible with LPDDR5 RAM memory modules up to 3,200 MT/s and mobile phones with 120Hz FHD+ screens. Cameras with a maximum sensor of up to 200 megapixels and Adreno 710 GPU.
AI-filled vehicle
As expected, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is integrated with the Low Power AI System, which is responsible for a number of AI features. Thus, Qualcomm’s mobile platform supports noise cancellation, the latest voice assistants, camera improvements, etc.
The SoC is also compatible with various satellite sources like QZSS, Beidou, Galileo, etc. As for connectivity, the launch features Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E, which is already expected for an intermediate chip. Qualcomm promises improvements of 10% to 30% for the CPU and GPU respectively, with respect to the 2022 Snapdragon Gen 1.
There is no word yet on which smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, but it won’t be long before the first models with the chipset are announced.
