They believe that such motivation will increase the amount of useful content about the product. Products will be marked with a special badge, which will show how many points you can get for a review. This way, buyers will not only be able to evaluate the product through a video review, but also benefit from their purchase when making the decision to place an order.

The company says that the first 10 reviews increase sales by 9.7% and the first 20 reviews increase sales by 12.3%. The innovations should increase the level of trust in the store and help the buyer learn more about the product.

A text review to a customer has long been worth 50 to 2,000 points, but now a video or photo can also earn 25 to 1,000 points. The seller can install a badge if he offers at least 3% of the product’s cost in Plus points or more than 500 bonuses. If the refund amount is lower, the customer can also rate the product, but only after receiving it.

Badges are available to customers with a Yandex Plus subscription. They have already appeared in the app. Points for video recordings will be added later – Android and web users will be the first to see the update.

Yandex Market also gave sellers the opportunity to create their own product cards. Now they can manage all the content as they wish.
